Caroline Caffyn Counselling in Landford, Wiltshire

Frequently Asked Questions

How confidential will the sessions be?
Counselling is private and anything that is discussed is confidential between you and your counsellor. There are certain rare legal exceptions which will be clarified in the first session.

Is coming to counselling a sign of weakness?
No. Acknowledging that something does not feel as it should and making the decision to access help takes courage.

How am I safeguarded?
I am a full and accredited member of the BACP and I abide by their Code of Ethics. I hold professional indemnity insurance and receive regular supervision ensuring that I practice ethically and competently.

How can I be sure this is for me?
In all honesty, you cant. But we never know unless we try. Counselling moves at your own pace and there is no obligation to continue after the first initial assessment. Counselling is private and therefore it is paramount that you make the right choice when choosing a therapist. If, after an initial conversation with me by phone, you are unsure, I offer a free initial meeting of 20 minutes to find out a little more about each other and to decide whether you would like to proceed.
